The watch manufacturer was founded in 1912 in Grenchen, Switzerland, by Walter Vogt and developed into a well-known name in the following years. In 1926, for example, Fortis produced the first self-winding wristwatch in series production.
After the family business passed to Walter Vogt’s sons in 1962, Fortis developed the „Spacematik Automatik“ space watch, which was designed to easily withstand extreme conditions and temperature fluctuations. In 1994, Fortis succeeded for the first time in producing a watch that was used in a mission in open space. In the meantime, Fortis has a new owner and has a wide range of watches of different kinds.

As an exclusive manufacturer of luxury watches, Fortis wanted its own carrying cases to match the new brand identity and the look of the new watch cases. There was also a desire to make the new carrier bags more sustainable by using FSC-certified paper, thus taking a step towards a more environmentally friendly future.

To create a simple and elegant tote bag, we used solid coloured black paper. The woven orange handles add a special touch and underline the value of the product. Finally, the tote bag was refined with various embossings. The product has logo embossing on both sides in white, a logo print on the inside bottom and the FSC logo on the outside bottom. The article is rounded off by the wrap-around lettering „First automatic wrist watch“, which adorns the inside cover of the carrier bag.
