From Saint Petersburg to Paris, the Korloff saga is closely linked to the story of the black diamond.  In 1978, the diamond tradesman Daniel Paillasseur became enchanted by the special diamond and christened it „Black Korloff“. Accordingly, he founded his Korloff jewellery house by making use of this name.

Dahlinger is proud to witness a key moment from Korloff brand history. A complete change of the corporate identity and the staging of the shops was imminent. With this upgrade, new jewellery cases were needed to strengthen and go inline with the new Korloff image.

For this purpose, we developed jewellery boxes made of MDF, which were covered with artpaper in special sand colour. The inside was covered in the same coating material and was provided with a foam cushion. When the cases are opened, a harmonious overall picture appears.

For this project, we kept a special eye on the jewellery pieces, which needed bespoke cases depending on their size. Furthermore, it was important to choose the right materials to match Korloff’s flagship store in Rue de la Paix in Paris, as it was the first to open.

To meet the demands, the team from technical development did test a wide range of alternative inserts and finally sourced the perfect material through our wide supply chain.

Our team thoroughly enjoyed working with Korloff. Precise communication and short and clear decision-making on the client’s side enabled a quick refresh of the company’s packaging. The base for a successful cooperation was built.
