Juliette Has a Gun is a French fragrance brand founded in 2007 by Romano Ricci, grandson of Nina Ricci. Juliette Has a Gun fragrance are inspired by pop culture, music and cinema. The Juliette Has a Gun fragrance range consists of over 20 fragrances, the most popular of which are Not a Perfume, Lady Vengeance, White Spirit and Oil Fiction.
As a Dahlinger company, we were able to witness a key moment for the Juliette Has a Gun brand. A change of packaging from an iconic perfume to a limited-edition box, with a mise-en-scène in keeping with the brand’s singular universe.

To achieve this, we developed a box measuring 163 x 163 x 163 mm and made of cardboard approximately 2 mm thick. The two halves of the cube are held together by a paper hinge and can be closed using two hidden magnets. Inside are cardboard inserts on the left and right, the left for the bottle and the right for the travel sprays. The empty spaces are made of EVA. The bottom of the miniature inner trays for Travel Sprays is covered in white paper. The foam surface is covered with black paper. Along the diagonals is a protective cover made of 0.5 mm thick PVC film.
This promotional pack is enhanced by a large number of prints:
A 4-colour print on the outside back of the box with additional UV printing and a 2-colour print of the „Juliette has a gun PARFUMS“ logo on the outside front of the box with additional UV printing.
The texts „BLENDING“ and „COFFRET“ in 2-colour printing and additional UV printing are also printed on the front and inside of the box.

As part of this project, we paid particular attention to the design of the box, which had to meet Juliette Has a Gun’s artistic requirements. The protective and display functions were key elements for the brand.
To meet these requirements, the technical challenge was to hold the products when they were folded. We therefore optimised the friction of the inserts that hold the products in place.
Our team really enjoyed working with Juliette Has a Gun.
