Every year, tons of leather offcuts are produced worldwide in leather processing, which are simply disposed of. However, these natural leather scraps are far too valuable.
Bonded Leather, also called leather fibre or recycled leather, allows us and our customers to be more sustainable and thoughtful in our use of the high-quality and popular material leather.
Für die Produktion werden Lederreste, die beispielsweise in der For the production, leather scraps, for example from the shoe industry, are used as a basis and ground together with binders and fatliquors into a uniform mass. The mass is then fixed between two layers of fabric and given a PU coating.
In addition, this coating can be subsequently provided with a punched-on grain to create the look and feel typical of leather.
The result is a high-quality, sustainable surface material.
