For over a decade we have enjoyed a trusting and successful relationship with our partner Diageo – Talisker’s parent company.
Founded in 1830 by the McAskill brothers, the Talisker Distillery is considered the oldest distillery on the legendary Isle of Skye.
Talisker is an integral part of the Isle of Skye and has defied wind and weather on its edge for almost 200 years. Produced in the old tradition, inspired by the landscape and the massive rocky coasts, a very special whisky experience is created here.

One year after the Talisker Xpedition Oak 43 years old, the successful series is continued. „Forests of the deep“ was created in collaboration with Parley and was inspired by a joint expedition to a kelp forest that took place near the Cape of Good Hope. Following this, the single malt Scotch whisky was filled into ten casks during its 44-year maturation phase, which were flamed out with a fire made of old oak driftwood and sustainable seaweed.

We used milled, FSC-certified solid wood to produce the oval packaging, which is in keeping with the edition’s name. By testing different printing techniques, we were able to find an optimal solution to depict the unique motif of the kelp forest on the product. To gain access to the precious contents, first unlock the two locks that have been attached to the outside. Opening the box by removing the top half reveals the unique whisky at the core, embedded in a printed leather-look insert.

The main challenge in producing the packaging was to precisely match the different types of material. Above all, the accuracy of top to bottom was paramount in order to offer the consumer a smooth and perfect experience when opening the box.
The overall package is rounded off by a beautiful carrying box that not only safely stores the Talisker Distillery 44 years Xpedition Oak, but also makes it transportable.

The longer you look at the box and the great artwork, the more unique and harmonious the overall picture appears. The continuation of the successful series has given our team great pleasure. We remain excited about which exciting projects we will be able to realise together in the future.
