For Point Tec, the brief was to replace the existing plastic case, which was covered in fabric paper on the outside and lined with synthetic leather on the inside, with a more sustainable alternative.
The solution we developed for Point Tec is a watch case made from 100% cardboard and paper, which means it is completely mono-material. This is made possible by a cleverly designed paper hinge function and an innovative cardboard solution for the watch clasp.
The challenge was to implement the solution within the given budget.
